Before I tell you the riddle, let me warn you. Its answer doesn't come easily to most. While the answer is not easy, it is simple. I first heard this riddle more than 15 years ago and I have been asking people for as many years. Although I have not tracked the exact results, I would estimate that less than 10% of the people I have shared the riddle with were able to solve it.

My bucket list has one less item. Last month, I played two songs at the West Coast Songwriters competition, held monthly at Whirlow's on the Miracle Mile. I can fully admit that some items on my bucket list will likely never get checked off. Playing the guitar and singing in front of people, strangers, is one of those.

Bike Stockton, Every Street, Part 2

I finished. I rode my bike on every street in Stockton. On Saturday, December 27, three months after I started my quest to ride every street in Stockton, and just a few days before my self-imposed deadline, I crossed the ceremonial finish line. In those three months I rode 1,566 miles throughout Stockton, taking 119 hours. That was, by far, the most I had ever spent on my bike in any three month period in my life.
When last we met, I was two months and 1,053 miles into my quest to ride every street in Stockton. I know it's been a while since that update... so drumroll please... I finished!
