Matt and Andy are talking trash, literally. Friend of the show, Andy Pinasco, has thrown down the gauntlet. Andy is pulling for a NY Jets Superbowl victory. Matt, on the other hand, is certain that the New Orleans Saints will win it all. With such differing views, you know there's a bet! The loser has to pick up garbage at a location picked by the winner, and blog about it. If neither team wins, we will both pick up trash at a location chosen by our listeners. So, the real winner is Stockton. Go Saints!

What will Apple announce next week? Rod and Matt talk about what they, and some of our listeners, think about what Apple might be announcing on January 27. Nearly all rumors point to a Mac tablet and iPhone OS 4.0. Here are some of the stories we referenced:

Will Pirates be invading the Matinee? Andy is at it again, this time, his mission is to bring Pirate of Silicon Valley to Stockton for a night of drinks and geekery. The Record's Ian Hill uses Google Wave to share Stockton News.

A couple of items from the news: Orson Wells's comes to Delta College, a new program is using technology to help struggling students, snow in Stockton and comments are back on Recordnet blogs.

University of the Pacific versus Cal in the Showcase in Stockton. On Wednesday, the Pacific Tigers mens basketball team squared off against the Cal Bears.

Snow in Stockton! On Monday, Stockton was treated to a little bit of snow. It didn't stick to the ground... but it was definitely snow.

Who you can help in Stockton. If you're able to help out this year, the Gospel Center Rescue Mission and the Stockton Shelter for the Homeless is there to accept donations. If you want to learn more about organizations in Stockton check out the VISTAS website.

UStream Broadcaster comes to the iPhones. UStream released it's iPhone app, Broadcaster, which will allow iPhone owners (like Matt, and soon, Rod) to stream a live video from their iPhone. We've set up an account on UStream and will surely be broadcasting live from an iPhone near you (or, near us). Also, check out the Behind the Scenes video we filmed while recording episode 18.

An interview with Patrick Giblin from University of the Pacific. UOP's Manager of Media Relations and I sat down to discuss his role at the university, how UOP uses Twitter and Facebook, and what his thoughts are on photography and Stockton. A recap of the Run & Walk Against Hunger. On Thanksgiving morning, Rod, my daughter, and I walked in the 5th Annual Run & Walk Against Hunger benefiting the Emergency Food Bank of San Joaquin. Wearing a device that carried a laptop, Rod walked 5k (3.1 miles) while he "rodcasted" live. Big thanks to the Delta College RTV team - Melissa Deverall, Will Story, Pete Pang, Donna Barlow, and Adriana Brogger for all of their support in the event.
