Matt and Dawn Beckwith have been together since before Bill
Clinton took the oath. They have chosen to raise their
wonderful family in the awesome northern California city of
Stockton.
Matt is a
self-professed podcast addict. He commutes to
Pleasanton for work, rides a bike when he can, takes
lots of pictures and tinkers around on the internet on
their Macintosh computers. Deep down he wishes he
could play the guitar like Joe Satriani and sing like
George Jones (I know, that is an odd combination).
Dawn works in Stockton and enjoys
cooking and decorating. When no one is looking she
dances the jig and spends way too much time reading
smutty romantic novels (ok, not really).
Emily, aka the teenager, plays
soccer, enjoys reading, drawing and listening to music
and reminds us everyday that we are “soooo
old”.
Makenzy, aka the
youngest, also plays soccer and loves to draw and rock
out with her iPod. She wants to do everything her big
sis does (except have the occasional teen
‘tude).
Although we often argue about who “owns” the
family pet, it is clear that Sashi, our four-year old
Sheppard-Lab mix, owns us!
As a family, we enjoy hanging
out and playing the wii, watching TV and trying new
restaurants. Since April 2007, we have produced Pizza Go Here, a family podcast. When
we’re not with our friends, brothers, sisters and
their families, we love hanging out together, especially
when we’re cheering on our Stockton Thunder at the Stockton Arena.
