The Tour of California rolls through Stockton
In its second year, the Tour of California rolled
through Stockton for stage three, starting downtown,
on the waterfront and ending in San Jose.
What a great event for downtown Stockton. The girls and I went downtown first thing in the morning and walked around. With Center Street closed between Fremont and Weber, the area in front of the waterfront was filled with the greats like Hincapie, Leipheimer, Haedo, Basso, Rasmussen and O'Grady. I even had a chance to say hello to Johan Bruyneel and wish him good luck.
I also got a chance to meet David from The Fred Cast, the internet's premier cycling podcast. David covered everyday of the race and provided some great insight and interviews as he travelled with the race caravans.
Check out our pictures from the race here.

Jim, Natalie and the girls made it up to Stockton
this weekend so what better way to party than to rock
out at Fred's house! Even Linda and her boys came by!
Jim, Fred and I rocked out for a while (although I don't think we ever made it through an entire song) and even got some help by 15 year old Chris who was playing a great 5-string bass.
Check out the pictures here.
I think there might've been some video taken as well... Mik & KW, if you took any good videos send me the link!
*** update ***
Check out Mike's pics and Ken's pics, too.

That's right! Emily got the word today that she was
accepted into the People to People Sports
Ambassador Program and will be heading off
to play soccer at the Youth Friendship games in
Holland this summer! Way to go
Emily!
